Financial Reports Tracked in QuickBooks:

Summary:
All income in 2009 was donated from private donations through October 2009. October was the BRAINS Foundation our first fundraising event at Gymco. Pizza, pop, cookies and fun for several hours, that was made possible donations of raffle prizes by local business and sponsorships from local companies like Paula Hampson at Northwestern Mutual, Morning Star Health and others. In November, the BRAINS Foundation was awarded its first grant through the Amway Foundation Campaign for Children. We continue to investigate grant and private donations in order to cover project costs. Costs were related to printing and marketing costs for the event. The lease was not levied in accordance with the agreement with BRAINS. However, the Foundation has forbearance on direct intern costs presently.
