BRAINS devoted a week to raising funds for the B-93 Roofsit for Children in September. The money raised from this endeavor is used to provide services to children who have been abused/neglected. The funds donated in Kent County will go to Arbor Circle, who provide a variety of essential services for children in these precarious circumstances. Dr. Wolff participated in the Polar Plunge event for Special Olympics February 2007: The Polar Plunge is an event open to anyone willing to “bear” the elements for a good cause. The object is simple: raise money then plunge into the cold water! Proceeds from the Polar Plunge support the year round sports training and athletic competition for over 15,200 athletes with intellectual disabilities who participate in Special Olympics Michigan (SOMI).The Polar Plunge is coordinated by the Law Enforcement Torch Run®, a group of police officers and corrections personnel committed to raising funds and awareness for SOMI. http://www.somi.org/
